We’ve got a mix of dorms and private rooms to suit all kinds of travellers.

Choose from:

- Mixed dorms (14-bed to twin-bed)

- Female-only dorms

- Private rooms (single or double)

All rooms are simple, tidy, and come with bedding — no need to bring your own.

Check-in starts at 2:30 PM, but you're welcome to drop your bags from 9 AM and explore the city. If we’re ahead of schedule, we’ll try check you in early.

Check-out is by 10 AM, with free bag storage until 4 PM.

Arriving late? No worries — we’ll send you a late check-in email with everything you need.

Every bed comes with fresh linen, a pillow, and duvet.

You’ll also get free high-speed WiFi, access to the kitchen, laundry, and rooftop terrace.

Towels are available to hire at reception for $5. And yes, we clean everything — daily

Absolutely. For smaller groups, just book a private dorm (or two).

For groups of 10 or more, please email us directly at info@atticbackpackers.co.nz so we can help with availability, group terms, and room setup.

Note: we don’t host stag or hen groups (sorry!) — just good humans on good adventures.

It depends how you booked.

  • If you booked directly with us, cancellations made 72+ hours before arrival are free.
  • Inside 72 hours, or for no-shows/early departures, full charges apply.
  • If you booked via a third party (e.g. Booking.com), their cancellation terms will apply.
